1. ABUSE AND NEGLECT PREVENTION

Our facility strictly adheres to WAC 388-76-10600. We maintain a safe environment where every
resident is protected from abuse, neglect, abandonment, and financial exploitation. All staff members
undergo background checks and are trained as mandatory reporters under Washington State law.
Reporting Requirements:
Immediate notification to the DSHS Hotline for any suspected harm.
Notification of the resident's representative and legal surrogate.
Filing a report with local law enforcement (Puyallup/Pierce County).

2. RESIDENT RIGHTS & DIGNITY

In accordance with RCW 70.129, residents of this home possess the same rights as all citizens. These
include, but are not limited to:
The right to be treated with courtesy, respect, and full recognition of dignity.
The right to privacy during care, visits, and communication.
The right to choose activities, schedules, and health care providers.
The right to be free from physical or chemical restraints.

3. ADMISSION & DISCHARGE POLICY

Before move-in, a comprehensive assessment is required to ensure the home can provide the
necessary level of care. We provide a 30-day written notice for any discharge, except in emergencies
where the health or safety of the resident or others is at risk.

4. SAFE STORAGE OF MEDICATION
